Captained by myself and my roommate, Mike Palmiero, The Shanangans pride themselves on playing hard and being good competitors that value good sportsmanship (oh...who am I kidding...WE WANT TO WIN!!)
We bring our unique attitude to the table each and every game with our enthusiasm and eccentric uniforms. Our uniforms consist of white collar shirts, ties, and pants varying from green cordoruoys to tight jean bell-bottoms to army fatigues to nice slacks. Some of us have taken to also wearing skirts (but only during the games...)
The name...The name was originally lifted from an episode of South Park in which the residents of South Park yelled "Who votes shenanigans????!!!???" before promptly beating each other with brooms... Well, we sent co-captain and fellow moron Mike to sign up for the first season, and on the signup sheet he misspelled our name "S H A N A N A G A N S" Needless to say, the misspelling stuck and we have held it proudly ever since...
After each win somone yells out "WHO VOTES SHANANAGANS!!" before the team piles on top of each other and beats each other senseless...Trust me, its fun...

The Shananagans made a very successful debut this year in their first season, posting an undefeated record in the beginners' league, at 5-0-1. Unfortunately we were defeated in sudden death overtime in the first game of the playoffs.

After the completion of our first season, many of our players decided to break off and start their own team (which, funny enough, didn't get a spot in the second season). Some of us stuck around, ready to carry on The Shananagans.

Our second season did not go as well. After moving up a divisional level to play tougher competition, The Shananagans posted a 1-7 record. However, we improved each game as we gained more practice and experience, playing against some of the toughest teams Miami University has to offer.

As we approach the beginning of our third season, a full team of dedicated members are ready to bring back The Shananagans winning tradition. We are looking forward to hopefully competing against the team fieled by our departed ex-teammates from season one...Who knows, maybe a rivalry?? Play starts at the end of March.
